
The terms Pay Per Click (PPC) and Cost Per Click (CPC) are
sometimes used interchangeably.
PPC is the fastest way to get search engine traffic to your
website and is the only way to ensure that your website is ranked at
the top of the search engines constantly.
Unlike regular "free" or "organic" search engine listings
generated via SEO, PPC can have your site ranked well within days or

How it Works:
Advertisers bid for search terms, and highest bid gets the #1
ranking, etc. — and each time someone clicks on your link, you pay
your bid amount. The minimum bid amount is usually 10c or 15c (however,
you would normally be bidding higher especially for competitive
terms).
Listings from the Pay-Per-Click networks appear as "SPONSORED SITES"
or "FEATURED SITES" on many major global and regional search engines.
Google does not take listings from any of the Pay-Per-Click networks
such as Overture or E-Spotting. It offers it's own pay-per-click
services called Google AdWords and Premium Listings. PPC listings on
Google appear as 'Sponsored Listings' on the right-hand side of the
page.
